Here's a list of reasons to stay fit and thin:
  • You'll be graceful
  • You can fit everywhere
  • Too many people in the world are obese
  • You don't want people to say, "Don't make her mad. She'll sit on you."
  • You can look good in any clothes

Things to do for distraction (can be helpful too):

Clean the house! Get busy "hoeing and throwing," go through old stuff and purge out what you don't wear, don't want, don't need anymore. Dust. Vaccuum. Scrub. Keep busy! It engages the attention and keeps the thoughts off eating.

2. Keep sipping on that lemon-water, or diet soda/juice while you work!

3. Put on some music and dance! Or keep the tunes rolling while you clean house, it keeps the work from getting boring and you can boogie while you sweat!

8. Get up off that lazy butt and take a walk or start working out! You have fat to burn, don't you??? If you wanna get healthy, do all these. Quit laying around dreaming of donuts and pizza and GET BUSY!!!    =)

How to order healthy in a restuarant:

Before ordering, ask for a full glass of ice water (with lemon, optional) and consume it. Get a refill when the waiter comes to take your order.

Get nutrition information ahead of time if you can.

Avoid all breaded or battered items, fried items, sauteed items, breads, pasta, rices, sweetended drinks, and of course, desserts.

Get the simplest foods in their most natural form available, such as grilled fish and a tossed salad. Lean proteins like shrimp are best. (You don't NEED the cocktail sauce, ignore it!)

Request all sauces and dressings on the side. That way you retain control over how much you consume. Nearly all the excess calories, fats and carbs are in restaurant sauces and dressings.

Eat a tossed or garden salad appetizer; only 20-30 calories and helps fill you up before the entree arrives.

Have your water glass refilled when the food arrives and one or two sips of water between bites.

Set down fork after each bite and chew slowly and thoroughly.

When the dessert tray comes around, obviously it is "Oh, no thank you; I'm full." (If you are out with a friend or lover, you can ask to have "just a taste" of their dessert; that way you don't feel deprived, and they are more likely to think you are just being health-conscious!)

And finally, some last tips to leave you with:

  1. Eat breakfast! This gets your metabolism going.
  2. Eat as slowly as you can. Actually, eat with your weak hand. You'll eat slower and it's like a challenging game.
  3. It takes your body around 30 minutes to realise it's food. Chew it until it disolves in your mouth.
  4. Count to 100 if you're having a craving. Hopefully it will go away. Or, do 100 crunches. Or 45 push-ups.
  5. Wear a rubber band around your wrist, snap it against your skin when you're tempted to eat.
  6. Drink diet soda. It'll fill you up and only has 1 calorie.
  7. Every calorie counts. When you're sitting, shake your leg, tap a pencil, never stop moving.
  8. Drink a glass of water every hour, not only will it make your stomach feel full, it will also give you great hydrated skin. Cold water burns more calories, while warm water makes you feel full.
  9. Throw away the foods you think you'll binge on.
  10. Sitting up straight and having good posture burns 10% more calories than when you slouch.
  11. Carry a picture of your favorite motivation everywhere you go.
  12. Take a sip of water between every bite.
  13. Stay cold. Your body burns more calories trying to warm you up.
  14. Eat your meals on smaller plates.
  15. Obesity is disgusting. Remember that.
  16. Chew sugar free gum. It keeps your mouth busy!
  17. If you eat, remember to sit down in the same place every day. Somewhere solidatry; not in front of TV or computer. Eating in front of TV distracts you from your body's fullness signals, and you're more likely not to notice what you're eating.
